Explore your creative visual expression and capture the natural beauty of Santa Cruz in this environmental photography class. Taught by the photojournalists responsible for the local wildflower-tracking platform, BloomTracker, this introductory course features the diverse landscapes, flora, and fauna of Santa Cruz County as the perfect settings to elevate your photography skills while learning to look at nature through the lens of an environmental multimedia expert.
Led by Mike Kahn, an experienced photojournalist and Managing Director of Hilltromper Santa Cruz and Hilltromper Silicon Valley, this workshop covers the artistic and technical fundamentals of outdoor photography. You'll learn creative techniques for visual storytelling of landscapes, wildlife, plants, etc., while receiving in-the-field feedback.
Open to ages 16+/all experience levels. Both cameras and smartphones are welcome.
